The bathroom had mold and the floor was lifted around the toilet...like there was water damage.

Though this is a 3-star hotel, the customer service was far superior to any 5-star hotels I’ve stayed in! The front desk staff couldn’t have been more helpful and professional! They had an entire baseball team come in and invade the place, but it was well-handled. Clean hotel and overall a great experience!

Conveniently located at a freeway exit, which was exactly what we needed. There was no traffic noise inside the hotel. Both the public areas and our room was spotless. Beds were very comfortable. We had two Queen beds (one each). Would have preferred 4 bath towels instead of three, and the availability of two extra pillows. No matter, housekeeping was just down the hallway. Loved that we had control of our own air conditioning temperature, especially since outside it was 110 deg.F. We liked the room setup with the coffee and fridge away from the bed areas around a corner. The parking was tight with one space left. Why I gave it a 4 instead of a 5: We didn't like that we could not get into the hotel through the side doors with our keycards, but had to walk around to the front in 110 deg temps. About the free breakfast....a major traffic jam at the waffle machine with long lines!! Listen to me Marriott! I realize you had a full house but traffic jams at self serve breakfasts can be avoided if you rearrange your buffet counterspace. First of all, since it is obviously a popular food item, you need TWO waffle machines, not just one. I know it takes 2.5 minutes cooking time for one waffle. Each guest has to wait 2.5 minutes for each guest before them. (No one was at the other end of the counter waiting for porridge). By having your waffle machine right next to the juice machine, guests cannot get to the juice machine. Guests were sitting ON the table where you keep the plates and plastic cutlery because they didn't want to stand while waiting. If you spread out the popular items and add another waffle machine with additional condiments for each waffle machine and put it at the other end of the counterspace you would not have frustrated guests....especially now that it is 9:30AM on a Saturday morning when the buffet closes... and some folks still haven't ben able to get their breakfast due to traffic jams at one waffle machine. If you need help with your buffet setup, I am happy to draw you a diagram.

Easy to find as it is right of route 99. We had to get off the highway driving from LA to SF and found ourselves surrounded by tule fog* that settles in this Central Valley, making it visually hard to drive. We pulled off the road to this motel as it was also next to a Black Bear Diner. I did not find a warm welcome by this clerk, and had to put forth that I was a platinum elite in asking for 2 bottles of water that should have been already placed in the room. The food section of the hotel also was pretty empty, no frozen foods for a late night driving customer. The room was clean but oddly shaped and cramped despite having a typical suites sofa. We were also placed facing the road, but we were too tired to ask to be moved after driving through fog. The breakfast was included good, with a new item unseen before this visit, a kind of egg pancake which was good. There were other less expensive places to lodge than this one, but I choose this because of hotel brand loyalty, but it was not up to standards. *Tule fog (/ˈtuːliː/) is a thick ground fog that settles in the San Joaquin Valley and Sacramento Valley areas of California's Central Valley.
